Our History

Lilja Corporation, the parent company of Lilja Fabrication, has been setting the standard for excellence in industrial contracting since 1955. After decades of sending larger-than-life projects to fabrication shops around the U.S. they pooled the top talent from these working relationships to create their own standard of excellence in fabrication, opening the doors to Lilja Fabrication and Welding in 2016 just outside of Nashville, TN.

We value building relationships as much as we value building, itself. Our commitment to quality, efficiency and overall customer satisfaction is just as important as it would be if we were fabricating it for our family, our friends, and our home.

OUR LEADERSHIP TEAM

Dwayne Polinski

Vice President of Operations

With over 30 years of experience in the Glass, Automotive and Aerostructure industries, Dwayne joined Lilja in 2016. Dwayne is a Sheetmetal worker by trade and has an associate degree in Applied Science. His responsibilities include project management and estimating of mechanical piping, sheet metal and structural fabrication including installation of all projects as well as overseeing Lilja’s fabrication facility which produces all types of metal fabricated products. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family and is an avid muscle car enthusiast who enjoys collecting and restoring them.

Michael Davis

Operations Manager

Michael Davis joined Lilja in 2022 with over 20 years of experience in the sheet metal trade. He started his career as an apprentice and after many years of experience he has taken on roles such as managing the fleet, Tool Crib, and Maintenance. With his dedication to safety, he has completed the OSHA 500 certification and is tasked with keeping our employees safety trained and compliant with all OSHA regulations. As the Operations Manager, his position calls for him to look at all aspects of the operations so that we may run efficiently and cost effectively. When Michael is not at work he enjoys traveling, woodworking and spending time with family and friends.

Sean Polinski

Facilities and Equipment Manager

With over 10 years of experience in the sheet metal and steel fabrication industry, Sean joined Lilja in 2016. His responsibilities include keeping the facility and equipment maintained and safe for operation to assure minimum downtime. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and young son. He is also an avid classic car mechanic and motor sports driver.

Bobby Cottle

Purchasing Manager

Bobby joined Lilja in 2022 with 10 years of experience in the gas/welding industry. Much of his experience comes as an inside sales manager. As Lilja’s purchasing manager he ensures we are receiving the most economical pricing available in the industry. In his spare time, he enjoys family time with his wife, Jessica and their two children. He also enjoys coaching youth baseball and is an avid outdoorsman.

Robin Bagwell

Foreman / Draftsman

New to Lilja in 2021, Robin brings over 30 years of experience in the sheet metal and fabrication industry. He has worked in every aspect including detailing, layout, and fabrication. He has extensive experience with RTO, dust-collection systems, stacks, and dip-tanks, to name a few. He oversees and prioritizes all the fabricated projects completed in our shop. In addition to the day-to-day operations, he is responsible for all aspects of our Shop Fabrication including production, detailing, and design staff. In his spare time, Robin enjoys working on home projects and keeping up with his kids and grandkids.

Curtis Presten

Estimator

Curtis join the Lilja team in 2020. He comes to us with a Bachelor of Science degree from Sonoma State University in Business Administration with a focus in Management. He is quickly learning all aspects of this industry. His responsibilities include estimating, customer support, and project management. His long-term objective is to be an integral part of the Lilja management team. When Curtis is not working you will find him spending time with his airplanes, race cars, and horses.

Stephen Halliburton

Field Superintendent

Stephen has 15+ years of hands-on experience in installation of numerous types of industrial systems including glass, automotive, and aerospace. Stephen joined the Lilja team in 2016. He is a sheet metal worker by trade and is responsible for all sheet metal field installations. In his spare time, you can find him at the ballpark with his family, traveling, or riding on his Harley Davidson.

Mike Chandler

Pipefitter Superintendent

Mike joined Lilja in 2016 and is a 38 yr. member Of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 572 Nashville, TN. He has experience in commercial hot and chill water heating and cooling systems, he also has several years’ experience in the automotive and glass industry with their associated piping systems. His responsibilities include estimating and managing piping projects in the shop and field. When he is not being a pipefitter, he is an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
